We partnered with ecclesiastic artist Ioana Belcea to create mosaics for the nave of the Community of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville, TX. The first panel shows David as a young shepherd baptizing his flock, and later as king; the second represents Jesus as both the Good Shepherd and the sacrificial lamb. By combining a bright, modern sense of color with traditional mosaic technique, the mosaics bring these ancient scenes to life for contemporary parishioners.

The sheep, the flowers, the technicolor landscape of the two scenes were a pleasure to render in mosaic. The colors and perspective create an other-worldly impact, inviting viewers into a contemplation on the presence of the divine in the natural world.
