BROOKLYN
GARDEN
BROOKLYN, NY
RESIDENTIAL
Landscape architect Todd Haiman approached us about creating custom garden furniture for his clients, inspired by their recent trip to Spain and Greece. Bringing together the trencadís style of Gaudi with the Caribbean blue and white tiles of the Greek islands, our design juxtaposed five different patterns of porcelain tiles in sweeping arcs reminiscent of the peaceful sea. One of the patterns – a Victorian zoo set – allowed us to incorporate exotic animals into the design, providing a subtle and surprising moment of delight, especially for the couple’s young children.
