We were brought in by Public Art for Public Schools and the NYC School Construction Authority to translate a design by Brooklyn-based illustrator Matthew Thurber into a mosaic for the lobby of PS35Q, a public elementary school in Queens.

With richly colored ceramic tiles and a playful approach to design, the mosaic captures the spirit of childhood exploration, brightening the school lobby with imagery inspired by kids' drawings.
